In the last 2 weekends, Woodward West MTB director Jake Kinney had the chance to enjoy and take part in some great MTB events in California.
Here's what Jake had to say, "The first event we went to was the Santa Cruz MTB Festival. This yearly event takes place at the Post Office jumps. It was awesome to see previous campers riding in the event and stopping by the Woodward West booth. This event has both a pump track event and jump jam. During the awards, each podium had a Woodward West camper on there. This event was extremely fun and enjoyable with the all the MTB riders out there.
Next weekend, I made my way to the Sea Otter Classic. This is the largest bicycle event in North America and it was my 15th year being there. Over the years, I have attended this event as a young racing athlete to now being part of Woodward West. It's great to see the bicycle world come together for a weekend of fun. Again, just seeing all the happy campers and future campers coming to say hello and talking about summer is an amazing feeling. I feel so strong that our sport is heading in the right direction with the next generation of riders."
